How to start

how to get into the game?

• When you first begin to join the server you’ll be welcomed by our welcome channel. There are a few channels to check out while you wait. 

• Please look at the rules carefully and make sure you understand what you are agreeing to. 

Heading on over to the Whitelisting channel which is located in ‘The Gates’ section of the discord server you will be asked to put your Nickname or your preferred name and your Minecraft username, clearly showing which name is which so there are no confusions and the process can move quicker.

 For example: 

Name/Nickname: Hove

Minecraft username: HoveFairyVale

 

once you have sent in your whitelisting you can head on over to ‘The Player’ section of the discord server and check out: Roles and the IP and modpack

Hove the lovely owner of the server will be posting a share code from curseforge into the channel weekly so it is always updated for new players to download the modpack. 

 

If you are unfamiliar with Curseforge,

it is a free app to download where you are able to get free add-ons and mods/modpacks for a selection of games.

Once you have opened and downloaded Curseforge if not already, go through the prompts you will see the app Minecraft displayed, click on that and it’ll bring you to your modpack library, again if you are new to curseforge you may not have mods on there yet, if you have used curseforge before you will probably know how to get this done,

once you have selected minecraft it takes you to the library page, at the top of the page will be a button: Import, you are going to need to click Import and focus on the ‘Use profile code’ which is going to be the ‘Share code’ Hove has sent into the IP and Modpack channel on the discord server,

putting that code in and clicking import once more, you will be then downloading the modpack, after its downloaded be careful to NOT update any of the mods. Once it is downloaded it's as simple as clicking play as it will take you to the modded minecraft launcher.

Opening up the modded minecraft as shown in previous steps you will be loaded onto the home screen of Minecraft as usual, if you get any alerts about updating anything please do not update it, just click next or continue. Once on the home screen click on the Multiplayer option  where you will be loaded onto a server screen,

once there click ‘Add Server’ in the bottom right corner and please put in ‘FairyVale Server’ for the server name and for the IP please put in “fairyvale.ferox.host’’

fair warning, THIS WILL NOT WORK IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN WHITELISTED

but otherwise, making sure you have a stable internet connection click add server and then once the server loads up properly on your Server screen click play or double click the server to join.
